About the position

The Infrastructure Developer role focuses on leveraging significant experience in systems engineering and software development to enhance infrastructure capabilities. The position requires proficiency in various infrastructure disciplines, including operating systems, systems programming, and network programming, while also emphasizing the importance of security, automation, and modern compute technologies. The developer will work within large-scale environments, contributing to enterprise-level resiliency and collaborating across teams to achieve common goals.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain infrastructure systems and software solutions.
• Work with distributed operating systems including Unix/Linux and Windows.
• Engage in systems programming and network programming tasks.
• Participate in large-scale software development using languages such as C, C++, Perl, Python, Java, and C#.
• Implement enterprise-scale solutions with a focus on resiliency.
• Ensure system and software security, including SSO, Kerberos, and LDAP.
• Utilize modern compute technologies like virtualization and cloud services.
• Adopt Agile development processes and automated testing methodologies.
• Automate and orchestrate end-to-end systems processes.
• Monitor systems and applications, ensuring proper instrumentation.

Requirements

• BS/BA degree or equivalent experience.
• Software development experience in general-purpose programming languages such as Python, Java, C, C++, Go, and Django.
• Understanding of cloud technologies, microservices, and CI/CD pipelines like Jenkins.
• Experience in web application development, databases, information retrieval, networking, and APIs.
• Familiarity with Agile and Lean methodologies and the SDLC lifecycle process.
• Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills with effective communication.
• Ability to collaborate with various roles to achieve common objectives.
