About the position

The Infrastructure DevOps Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Engineer at Raytheon will be responsible for developing and maintaining modern IaC solutions within a hybrid-cloud environment. This role involves hands-on engineering work, documentation, and baseline control, utilizing tools like Ansible and Terraform to support critical national asset projects. The position requires on-site work at the RTX facility in Richardson, TX, and aims to enhance deployment, implementation, and support of IaC solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage company and industry best practices to assist with deployment and support of IaC solutions.
  • Support software tool customization and automation, including deployment of templates and scripts using Ansible Playbooks.
  • Assist with integration of provisioning tools such as Terraform.
  • Help design, develop, and support build/test pipelines, optimizing for performance and scalability.
  • Assist engineers with specialized tool usage and issues.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a BS/BA Degree in STEM fields and 5 years of related work experience.
  • Experience with Linux System Administration (e.g., RHEL 6.0+).
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) design, development, and deployment.
  • Experience with deploying and maintaining COTS/FOSS products such as LDAP, RHEL, Ansible, Terraform.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. government TS/SCI security clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Ansible automation frameworks.
  • Implementing Scaled Agile Frameworks.
  • Experience with troubleshooting deployment and software infrastructure issues.
  • Experience with code repository systems (e.g., ClearCase, Bit Bucket).
  • Experience deploying and supporting CICD Pipeline tools (e.g., Jira, Jenkins).
  • Experience with programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, Ruby).
  • Background in COTS/FOSS product installation and integration.
  • Experience with Agile Development Methodologies (e.g., scrum, SAFe).
  • Container development and orchestration experience (e.g., Kubernetes/Docker).
  • Current CompTIA Security+ or ability to obtain.
