The Infrastructure Engineer (DevSecOps) position is a critical role within a cutting-edge AI and data analytics startup that is transforming how enterprises uncover critical insights. As the company expands its engineering team, the focus is on enhancing secure cloud infrastructure to support deployments across various industries, including government and Fortune 500 companies. In this role, the Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for securing the cloud infrastructure of the advanced AI and data analytics platform. The successful candidate will work towards achieving key security accreditations such as FedRAMP and CMMC, implementing best practices, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to embed security into every aspect of the development lifecycle. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong background in cloud security and a passion for working with cutting-edge technologies. Key responsibilities include driving the achievement of FedRAMP and CMMC accreditation, implementing security hardening for application containers and cloud-based instances, and collaborating with cybersecurity teams to meet rigorous accreditation requirements. The Infrastructure Engineer will also conduct security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests, respond to security incidents, and manage security monitoring, detection, and response in AWS environments. Additionally, the role involves assisting in the preparation and submission of security documentation for federal contracts and audits.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the achievement of FedRAMP and CMMC accreditation
  • Implement security hardening for application containers and cloud-based instances
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to meet rigorous accreditation requirements
  • Integrate security into the development lifecycle in partnership with DevOps and application teams
  • Conduct security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests
  • Respond to security incidents, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective measures
  • Manage security monitoring, detection, and response in AWS environments
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of security documentation for federal contracts and audits

Requirements

  • Familiarity with FedRAMP and CMMC accreditation and migration
  • Strong knowledge of NIST SP 800-171 practices and objectives
  • Expertise in cloud and application security, with a focus on protecting Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI)
  • Proficiency in Terraform and Kubernetes
  • Proficiency in AWS GovCloud administration, including services like IAM, EC2, S3, VPC, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, and KMS
  • Must be able to obtain TS SCI Clearance
  • Experience with .NET or Python programming
