As a Mid Level Infrastructure Engineer, you will be part of the Provider Edge Networking Team within USAA's Shared Services and Infrastructure Office. This role involves working with cutting-edge technologies that support both the USAA workforce and our members, ensuring that we deliver outstanding service and support to the Association. Your primary responsibilities will include creating, modifying, maintaining, and supporting infrastructure and integrated system components that enable business functions and IT services. You will be tasked with balancing availability, security, efficiency, and functional requirements to optimize production services. Additionally, you will identify and manage existing and emerging risks associated with business activities, ensuring they are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled. In this position, you will work under limited supervision to design scalable IT system infrastructure, implement system changes consistently, and automate service delivery and maintenance tasks. You will also build monitoring and tooling for systems, resolve complex technology production issues, and analyze outages to identify opportunities for system improvements. Your role will require you to understand engineering best practices and concepts, evaluate potential technology solutions, and mentor junior engineers. You will also develop software-defined infrastructure in code within CI/CD pipelines, ensuring compliance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
