About the position

The Infrastructure Engineer (Network Security) at Mathematica is responsible for overseeing the entire network infrastructure security technology stack, from design to delivery. This role involves supporting both local and wide area network capacity to meet current and future requirements, while working in a collaborative environment. The engineer will engage with the latest infrastructure security technologies and contribute to the overall security of Mathematica's LAN/WAN infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Support short- and long-term strategic plans for local and wide area network capacity.
  • Deploy methodologies for testing network performance and provide performance statistics and reports.
  • Manage network asset inventory and documentation.
  • Support weekly Vulnerability and Risk Management meetings.
  • Coordinate with teams, partners, vendors, and technical staff for architecture and support functions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field or equivalent training and work experience.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on Cisco Network & Security implementation experience.
  • Experience troubleshooting Network Security devices and tools, including ASA, FTD, FMC, and ISE.
  • Experience with BGP routing and network monitoring applications.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage complex projects from inception to completion.

Nice-to-haves

  • Technical knowledge of cloud networking environments (AWS, Direct Connect, VPC).
  • Industry recognized Certifications such as CCNP, CISSP.
