About the position

As an Infrastructure Engineer Sr/Data Center Network Engineer at PNC, you will play a critical role in the Data Center Network organization, focusing on the design, implementation, and support of complex data center networks. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and customer-focused solutions, ensuring that the network infrastructure is secure, scalable, and reliable. You will work collaboratively with a team to meet customer needs and contribute to the overall success of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expertise on platform engineering and oversee team efforts to meet customer needs.
  • Design, build, and maintain technology solutions aligned with business strategies and objectives.
  • Develop software components and hardware for complex projects.
  • Ensure deliverables are secure, scalable, and reliable through quality improvement efforts.
  • Communicate with customers to integrate their needs with development.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of industry-relevant experience in data center network engineering.
  • Experience in design, implementation, and support of complex data center networks.
  • Knowledge of Data Center network hardware/software including Arista and Cisco devices.
  • Familiarity with Internet Protocols and network technologies such as TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, SDN, VXLAN, and EVPN.
  • Ability to automate network operational tasks using Python, Ansible, etc.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Machine Learning and Risk Assessments.
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture Framework.
  • Understanding of IT industry trends and standards.
