As an Infrastructure Engineer Sr within PNC's Oracle Exadata organization, you will be based in Phoenix, AZ, Pittsburgh, PA, Cleveland, OH, Dallas, TX or Birmingham, AL. The position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at the manager's discretion. As an Infrastructure Engineer Sr, you will be joining the Oracle Exadata team. In this role, your primary responsibility will be to act as a DMA for PNC's Exadata appliances. You will be responsible for full stack patching, addressing hardware failures and participating on performance issue calls. The position does entail an on-call rotation. You will be expected to work evenings and weekends as needed to complete planned work. Due to the nature of this position, we are seeking experienced Exadata DMAs. Exposure to Ansible and other automation technologies is a plus. This role requires expertise in platform engineering, overseeing the team's efforts to meet customer needs, and using technical knowledge and industry experience to design, build, and maintain technology solutions. You will develop software components and hardware for complex projects, aligning these with business strategies and objectives, while ensuring that deliverables are secure, scalable, and reliable through estimation and correction.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a DMA for PNC's Exadata appliances.
  • Perform full stack patching and address hardware failures.
  • Participate in performance issue calls.
  • Work on an on-call rotation and be available for evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Develop software components and hardware for complex projects.
  • Ensure deliverables are secure, scalable, and reliable through estimation and correction.
  • Communicate with customers to integrate their needs with development.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of industry-relevant experience in Exadata administration.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of application delivery processes and IT industry trends.
  • Experience with consulting and effectiveness measurement in IT.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to plan tactically and strategically.
