About the position

The position involves providing technical expertise to manage enterprise infrastructure technologies within the CDO Technologies team. The role focuses on troubleshooting, configuring, and documenting ITIL incidents related to network infrastructure, including OSI Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching, Cisco routers and switches, and VPN appliances. The contractor will support infrastructure operations primarily on the first shift, ensuring effective management of routing and switching across multiple data centers.

Responsibilities

• Answer phone calls to troubleshoot and configure enterprise infrastructure technologies.
• Document and coordinate with customers regarding ITIL incidents.
• Create and resolve ITIL incidents following established guidelines and directives.
• Manage incidents related to OSI Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching, VLANs, and routing protocols.
• Support infrastructure operations on the first shift.
• Configure and troubleshoot Cisco routers and switches across multiple networks.
• Maintain and manage Cisco Nexus devices and VPN appliances.

Requirements

• Minimum of Cisco CCNP certification with three years of related professional IT experience.
• Ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot OSI Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching features.
• Experience with VLAN implementations and Shortest Path Bridging (802.1AQ).
• Ability to perform router and switch operating system/firmware upgrades within TCNO timelines.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting DNS and DHCP configurations.
• Experience in configuring network addressing and physical/virtual networks.
• Knowledge of Quality of Service (QoS) configuration and troubleshooting.
• Ability to create and maintain detailed Visio drawings.
• Knowledge of Cisco Catalyst Center for monitoring and maintaining routers and switches.

Nice-to-haves

• Ability to configure and troubleshoot dynamic routing protocols (BGP, OSPF).
• Experience with Cisco VPN hardware configuration and troubleshooting.
• Ability to apply and interpret DISA STIGs.
• Experience with 802.1x switch port authentication via Forescout and Cisco ISE.
