About the position

The Infrastructure Engineer role at Teleflex is focused on delivering IT solutions that support the company's data center and branch office facilities. This position is responsible for ensuring stable IT operations, troubleshooting infrastructure issues, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. The engineer will collaborate with various IT teams and stakeholders to implement technology solutions that enhance business operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform operational tasks such as server provisioning, upgrades, patching, changes, and testing.
• Participate in information technology system implementations from system requirements gathering through implementation and system support transition.
• Document newly implemented or existing systems and processes according to quality, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and address technical or operational risks and inefficiencies with IT systems.
• Develop and maintain documentation for operational best practices and systems maintenance.
• Collaborate with project managers in the development of detailed project plans.
• Develop and execute support transition plans for system implementations.
• Provide assistance for issues escalated from downstream support teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 5 years in Information Technology.
• Certification with a major technology platform such as Microsoft Server, Red Hat, or VMware.
• Maintains a working understanding of technology across many disciplines.
• Working knowledge of SOX and FDA 21 CFR Part 820 requirements.
• Firm understanding of IT best practices and frameworks such as ITIL.
• Experience using tools for change management.
• Experience producing technical documentation including functional requirements, design specifications, work instructions, and installation qualifications.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio.
• Technical areas of expertise should include Microsoft Server and infrastructure services such as Active Directory, Powershell scripting and automation, server virtualization and networking with VMware, Nutanix, or similar platforms, security best practices, and hyperscalers such as Azure and AWS.
