About the position

As an Infrastructure Operations Intern at American Foods Group, you will assist the team in configuring servers and maintaining the underlying infrastructure systems. This internship offers hands-on experience in server infrastructure management, technical support, and project participation, providing a comprehensive learning opportunity in the technology sector of the food processing industry.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately track, configure, deploy, and maintain server infrastructure systems including VMs, server hardware, Operating Systems, and backup and disaster recovery systems.
  • Evaluate and prioritize incoming tickets, calls, and issues to provide technical support to users.
  • Support technology as per written designs in line with AFG, departmental, and industry standards.
  • Follow project, testing, and implementation plans and project timelines.
  • Work on defined projects or assist on larger task lists on projects.
  • Participate in testing of new technologies or processes and provide feedback.
  • Create documentation as needed for any new or changed project or technology.
  • Participate in Infrastructure team activities such as stand-up meetings and disaster recovery testing.

Requirements

  • Must have completed your Junior year at a credited College or University.
  • Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Desire and ability to work well both independently and cross-functionally.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Inquisitive individual with a desire to gain knowledge through experience.
