About the position

As an Infrastructure Site Reliability Engineer at CVS Health, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing infrastructure systems that ensure the reliability and performance of technology platforms. This role emphasizes proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing systems to maximize uptime and performance, while collaborating with diverse teams to meet customer expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain various systems and infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and reliability.
  • Participate in on-call rotation to ensure availability and uptime of critical systems.
  • Develop and maintain best practices documentation, including system architecture diagrams and standard operating procedures.
  • Perform system and application performance analysis to identify and resolve issues.
  • Streamline and optimize operational processes and documentation by implementing industry best practices.
  • Develop and implement incident and problem management processes to increase efficiency.
  • Establish a comprehensive SRE process for seamless operations and prompt issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with development teams for code reviews, performance optimization, and application deployment.
  • Drive reliability engineering practices including monitoring, alerting, and disaster recovery.
  • Automate infrastructure deployments and maintenance tasks using configuration management tools.
  • Analyze historical usage patterns to forecast future capacity requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand resource demand and estimate necessary infrastructure capacity.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering, System Administration, or related roles.
  • 3+ years of experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Microsoft Azure) and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform).
  • 2+ years of experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
  • 2+ years of experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • 2+ years of experience in networking principles and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, and load balancing.
  • 1+ years of experience with incident management and performance monitoring tools.
