About the position

We are seeking a skilled Injection Mold Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role is crucial for ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and precision. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating injection molding machines and a strong understanding of quality inspection processes, working in a fast-paced environment to produce high-quality plastic components.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor injection molding machines to produce plastic parts according to specifications.
  • Conduct quality inspections on finished products using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machinery and troubleshoot any operational issues.
  • Assemble components and fabricate parts as needed, ensuring adherence to production schedules.
  • Utilize hand tools and press brake machines for secondary operations on molded parts.
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency and reduce waste in the production process.
  • Maintain accurate records of production output and machine performance.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure a safe and productive work environment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Injection Mold Operator or in a similar role within the plastics manufacturing industry.
  • Familiarity with quality inspection techniques and standards.
  • Experience with plastics blow molding processes is a plus.
  • Proficient in using precision measuring instruments, including micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices and logic controllers is desirable.
  • Ability to work effectively with hand tools and operate press brake machines.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with plastics blow molding processes is a plus.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices and logic controllers is desirable.
