About the position
The Injection Molding Machine Operator is responsible for operating and inspecting injection molding machines, ensuring that parts are produced according to quality standards. This role involves manual dexterity and attention to detail, as the operator will inspect, clip, trim, sort, and pack parts while maintaining accurate records and adhering to safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, clip, trim, sort, and pack parts produced by the injection molding machine.
- Record and complete all paperwork pertaining to the job during the designated shift.
- Gain knowledge of acceptable and unacceptable parts for quality assurance.
- Attend shift meetings to discuss production and quality standards.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience in plastics injection molding is preferred.
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to distinguish colors.
