The Injection Mold Operator is responsible for setting up and operating automatic or semi-automatic injection molding machines to cast thermoplastic materials into plastic or rubber products. This role involves reading and interpreting blueprints and diagrams to select, position, and secure machinery effectively. The operator is tasked with the primary setup of production jobs, which includes installing tooling, troubleshooting, and adjusting molding parameters to maintain quality and maximize product output. The position also requires performing mold and color changes, as well as general maintenance on machinery, conveyors, and auxiliary equipment. In addition to loading materials into the hopper of the molding machine, the operator must observe and adjust gauges to ensure that specified molding temperatures and pressures are maintained. Inspecting molded products is also a critical part of the job. The Injection Mold Operator plays a vital role in enhancing the company's infrastructure and contributes to the sustainable growth of Blue-White Industries. The operator must possess good communication skills, the ability to read and comprehend technical documents, and demonstrate a strong attention to detail. The work environment is a non-air-conditioned manufacturing setting with moderate to high noise levels, and the operator may be exposed to chemical vapors during the workday. Weekend and holiday work may be required as business needs dictate.
