About the position

We are seeking an Injection Mold Operator to join our team at Action Industries in Evansville, IN. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining injection molding machines to produce high-quality products efficiently. This role is crucial in ensuring that our production processes meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency. The Injection Mold Operator will work closely with engineering and production teams to optimize machine performance and product quality. The successful candidate will set up and operate injection molding machines, monitor the production process to ensure product quality, and perform quality inspections using precision measuring instruments. Troubleshooting equipment and process issues will be a key part of the role, as well as maintaining a clean and organized work area. Adherence to safety protocols and procedures is paramount in this position. In addition to operating the machines, the Injection Mold Operator will ensure that all equipment and processes are set to regulation parameters, meet quality standards, and achieve production goals. The operator will also provide feedback on mold design and assist engineering in optimizing each mold for cycle time and quality. Familiarity with scientific molding and overmolding processes is essential, as is a solid understanding of the variables of components and raw materials. The role requires good verbal and written communication skills, as well as a positive attitude and a commitment to teamwork and customer focus.

Requirements

  • Experience with precision measuring instruments
  • Mechanical knowledge related to injection molding
  • Ability to read blueprints and check products with calipers
  • Entry-level position, training provided
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
