About the position

The Injection Operator I at Rplanet Earth is responsible for operating injection molding machines, ensuring production goals are met, and maintaining quality standards. This role involves monitoring equipment, assisting with maintenance, and supporting shift operations, including managing team members and ensuring compliance with safety and food safety regulations. The position requires flexibility in working hours and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Attain/exceed throughput goals per mold specification
  • Attain/exceed quality yield targets of +95%
  • Monitor and react to process changes on injection molding equipment
  • Assist in all PMs (except Electrical) on all equipment within the department
  • Perform quality checks and fill out documentation required for injection molding machines
  • Provide shift support for forklift operators and material handlers
  • Ensure paperwork is filled out with zero errors by end of shift
  • Maintain up-to-date inventory records and ensure proper identification of all inventories
  • Follow all GMP requirements and maintain good housekeeping
  • Adhere to all safety requirements and contribute to a safe culture
  • Follow food safety requirements and applicable prerequisite programs
  • Communicate shift activities through various communication methods
  • Perform rework activities and adhere to all other reasonable duties assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 5+ years stable work experience in a related manufacturing setting
  • Knowledge of Injection Molding Fundamentals
  • Strong communication skills, ability to read and write in English
  • Proven leadership/team management skills
  • Technical skills to read and interpret technical information
  • Ability to analyze problems and determine solutions
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office

Nice-to-haves

  • Associate Degree in Plastics Technology, Electrical Technology, Electronics Technology, Mechanical Technology or higher
  • SQF, HACCP background
  • Ability to speak foreign languages
