About the position
The Inplant Ink Technician II at Sun Chemical Corporation is responsible for providing intermediate level color matching, formulating, and small batch blending support on-site at customer locations. This role requires minimal supervision and involves producing and quality controlling inks to meet customer specifications, performing color matching, and maintaining detailed production records. The technician will also provide technical service, troubleshoot issues, and ensure safe operations while adhering to customer schedules.
Responsibilities
- Produce and quality control inks to ensure they meet or exceed customer specifications.
- Perform color matching and formulation.
- Maintain detailed production and quality control records.
- Support customer's schedule through production coordination.
- Identify and execute rework opportunities based on review of batch tickets.
- Provide strong press side technical service and troubleshoot problems.
- Maintain monthly and weekly reporting to CTS and Sales organization.
- Maintain housekeeping and safe operations.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience with dispensing and color match software.
- 3+ years of industry experience.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. throughout the day.
- Strong interpersonal skills for customer-facing interactions.
