About the position
The Ink Inplant Technician at Sun Chemical Corporation is responsible for providing on-site support in color matching and small batch blending at customer locations. This role involves producing and quality controlling inks to meet customer specifications, offering technical support, and maintaining detailed production records. The position requires physical capability to handle heavy materials and a strong interpersonal skill set for customer interaction.
Responsibilities
- Produce and quality control inks to ensure they meet or exceed customer specifications.
- Provide press side technical support, mainly focusing on color toning.
- Maintain detailed production and quality control records.
- Identify rework opportunities based on batch ticket reviews.
- Maintain housekeeping and ensure safe operations.
- Lift up to 50 lb. buckets and move 500 lb. drums following standard procedures.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1+ years of industry experience.
- Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as dispensing and color match software.
- Strong interpersonal skills for customer-facing interactions.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Must pass a drug screen and background check.
