About the position
The Ink Technician position at ProAmpac Holdings, Inc. is responsible for maintaining ink room operations and ensuring the production of quality products for the press department. This role involves working rotating 12-hour shifts and requires adherence to safety and quality standards, as well as collaboration with various departments to manage design changes and job scheduling.
Responsibilities
- Knows and follows all safety policies and procedures, ensuring co-workers do the same.
- Commitment to ISO standards and food safety practices is required.
- Maintains design changes from the Graphics Department.
- Creates files for designs and updates changes to current files.
- Schedules jobs in IBLEND and follows the press schedule.
- Produces ink and performs quality checks.
- Troubleshoots ink problems on the presses.
- Cleans the ink area and organizes new products.
- Fills in as Press Assistant as needed.
- Fills in for Ink Mixer team leader as needed.
- Demonstrates appropriate attitude in all dealings with co-workers, customers, and suppliers.
- Consistently arrives at work on time.
Requirements
- Knowledge of safety policies and procedures.
- Understanding of ISO standards and food safety practices.
- Ability to manage design changes and create/update files.
- Experience with job scheduling in IBLEND.
- Skills in ink production and quality checks.
- Problem-solving skills for troubleshooting ink issues.
