About the position
The Ink Technician at Amcor is responsible for managing the production of inks for printing presses, ensuring quality control, and maintaining a safe manufacturing environment. This role involves collaboration with various departments to meet production schedules and uphold safety standards while contributing to a sustainable packaging future.
Responsibilities
- Make, stock, and QC all inks for printing presses during the shift.
- Maintain a safe manufacturing environment and exceed safety standards.
- Oversee the production schedule and prepare inks as required.
- Collaborate with scheduling to manage ink requirements and changes.
- Work with maintenance as needed to ensure operational efficiency.
- Interact with various departments to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Requirements
- 3+ years of manufacturing experience, preferably in printing.
- Broad knowledge of inks, solvents, material characteristics, and production processes.
- Full color perception is required.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule.
- Experience using X-rite/Novaflow technology is a plus.
- Forklift experience is preferred.
- Strong mechanical skills and a good attendance and safety record.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in a printing environment is preferred.
