About the position
The Ink Technician role involves on-site responsibilities at a manufacturing facility, focusing on the safe and efficient grinding of raw materials to produce high-quality printing ink. The position requires adherence to batch instructions, proper mixing procedures, and handling of raw materials, contributing to the production process in a clean and organized environment.
Responsibilities
- Follow batch instructions to weigh batches, change, and mix inks.
- Understand and execute proper mixing procedures and handle raw materials.
- Mix batches of ink and make necessary additions as directed.
- Maintain safety and efficiency in grinding raw materials for ink manufacturing.
Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Good computer skills.
- Prior manufacturing experience.
- Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude.
Nice-to-haves
- Prior chemical experience.
- In-plant, ink, or pressroom experience.
- Color matching skills.
- Forklift experience.
- Chemical operator experience.
