About the position

The Ink Technician position involves maintaining the ink room and ensuring that all ink-related processes meet quality standards. This role is essential for supporting the production schedule and troubleshooting any ink-related issues that arise during the printing process.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and well-organized work area.
• Follow standard operating procedures to ensure quality standards are achieved.
• Record color formula in color management software and issue formula and mixing procedure.
• Review daily production schedule to ensure timely preparation and staging of inks.
• Maintain ink room inventories, including inks, solvent, adhesive, and operating supplies.
• Verify ink components are available and used as specified.
• Perform quality color checks.
• Assist with troubleshooting ink-related issues at the press.
• Complete related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in printing and knowledge of ink procedures.
• Excellent teamwork and interpersonal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain high quality standards.
• Good computer skills plus ability to learn color management software.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, stoop, squat, crawl, and kneel.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color acuity, and the ability to adjust focus.
