About the position
The Ink Technician position is a second shift role based in North Carolina, serving as the client-facing representative of a premier global ink and chemical company at a printing facility. The role involves direct interaction with customers, ensuring the accurate mixing and blending of inks, and maintaining inventory records. This position does not require travel as it is in-plant based.
Responsibilities
- Mix and blend offset/litho conventional/UV paste inks to match colors
- Work directly with customers on-site
- Maintain inventory and keep accurate records
- Attend production meetings and work hand in hand with the press crews
Requirements
- High School degree or equivalent (Associates degree a plus)
- At least 3 years' paste offset ink experience
- Experience with ink formulation software such as MixMaster or EvolvePro
- Experience mixing and blending sheetfed conventional and UV (Ultraviolet) inks
- Knowledgeable in offset/lithographic sheetfed printing
- Strong problem solving and press-side troubleshooting skills
- Strong color visual acuity, and color matching skills
- Ability to commute daily to the printing plant in Southwest NC or the ability to relocate to the area
