About the position

The Software Engineer position at Oracle Energy & Water involves leading a matrixed team through complex projects while leveraging cutting-edge technology to develop innovative solutions for energy and water management. The role requires a blend of technical expertise, troubleshooting skills, and strategic vision to drive projects from concept to delivery, fostering collaboration across remote teams and engaging with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead high-visibility hands-on projects from concept through delivery.
  • Troubleshoot and collaborate with support and engineering teams to resolve issues.
  • Establish relationships with product management, engineering, support, presales, and marketing teams.
  • Research, prototype, and internally sell enterprise, operational, and system technologies beneficial for customer requirements.
  • Wear multiple hats including dev-ops, scrum master, customer and partner liaison, and hands-on software engineer.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience with full stack web development
  • 6+ years experience with JavaScript and related frameworks like Node, Oracle Jet or similar
  • 6+ years of experience with a programming language like Java, Python or C#
  • 6+ years of working with APIs (both SOAP & REST)
  • 1+ years familiarity with AI/ML tools and methodologies
  • Extensive hands-on experience developing, debugging & troubleshooting on Linux, Mac or Windows
  • Experience with leading multiple projects that involve complex integrations
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, information technology, computer science, or similar
