About the position
The Child/Adolescent Psychiatrist position is focused on providing psychiatric care in an inpatient setting in Ogdensburg, NY. The role involves working Monday to Friday with a schedule from 8 am to 4:30 pm, along with one full weekend of on-call duty each month. This is an ongoing locum tenens opportunity with the potential for a permanent position.
Responsibilities
- Provide psychiatric evaluations and treatment for children and adolescents in an inpatient setting.
- Participate in treatment planning and multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Conduct follow-up assessments and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Provide on-call coverage during weekends as scheduled.
Requirements
- Board certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
- Active medical license in New York State.
- Experience in inpatient psychiatric settings.
Nice-to-haves
- Fellowship training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
- Previous locum tenens experience.
