The Inpatient Pharmacy Technician position at Aurora Medical Center Sheboygan County is a full-time role that primarily involves the dispensing and delivery of medications. The role requires the technician to prepare non-sterile products in accordance with USP, state, and federal guidelines, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory standards. The technician will also be responsible for entering medication orders into the computer system and processing medication requests, as well as managing phone calls from customers and team members, such as nurses and physicians. This position demands a high level of attention to detail and effective communication skills to resolve issues promptly or escalate them as necessary. In addition to the core responsibilities, the technician must adhere to pharmacy procedures and documentation requirements, satisfying all legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards. This includes following controlled substance procedures and other relevant guidelines. The position is structured around a full-time schedule, with the majority of shifts being second shift, and the requirement to work every third weekend and two holidays each year. The technician will be expected to operate all necessary equipment, perform frequent fine motor tasks, and handle physical demands such as lifting and carrying items up to 35 lbs. The role also involves exposure to chemical hazards and requires the use of protective clothing and equipment as necessary. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Licensure as a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Student in the State of Wisconsin.
  • Certification (CPhT) issued by PTCB or ExCPT within two years of hire, or sooner if required by law.
  • High School Graduate.
  • Good mathematics skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
