About the position

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the ANA Nursing Process to collect comprehensive data pertinent to the healthcare consumer's health.
• Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnoses or issues.
• Identifies expected outcomes for individualized care plans.
• Develops and implements plans that prescribe strategies to attain expected outcomes.
• Coordinates care delivery and promotes health and safety.
• Provides consultation to influence care plans and enhance the abilities of others.
• Evaluates progress toward attainment of outcomes.
• Enhances the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice through continuous improvement.
• Collaborates with patients, families, and colleagues in nursing practice.
• Practices within the legal scope of a Registered Professional Nurse.

Requirements

• Completion of a nursing education program approved by a board of nursing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association within 60 days of hire or transfer.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license from the South Dakota Board of Nursing.

Nice-to-haves

• 5+ years of Registered Nurse experience.
