About the position

The Manager Telehealth is responsible for the project management, program build, launch, and administration of the YNHHS Tele-OnDemand service and other key Telehealth projects. This role involves overseeing service delivery, business operations, consumer research, marketing, and program evaluation while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. The manager will collaborate with various stakeholders to maintain positive relationships and address issues related to patient care, while also managing budgets and ensuring quality standards are met.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative oversight to the Tele-OnDemand Service, facilitating all clinical, technical, and business activities related to the program.
  • Oversee the execution and implementation of detailed project plans in concert with stakeholders.
  • Ensure appropriate hiring, orientation, licensing, credentialing, training, scheduling, supervision, and evaluation of departmental staff.
  • Ensure user satisfaction by acting upon inquiries, suggestions, complaints, and compliments from patients, physicians, staff, and management.
  • Manage P&L, prepare capital, personnel, and operating budgets, approve expenditures, and ensure appropriate departmental equipment purchase and maintenance.
  • Provide routine updates to key stakeholders through written and verbal communications, including program and performance updates.
  • Promote a positive image of the YNHHS Tele-OnDemand program and Telehealth department, serving as the expert in virtual urgent care services.
  • Research and propose technological and service enhancements, reimbursement opportunities, and legal or compliance issues.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree required; MBA or MHA preferred (experience may substitute for advanced degree).
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
  • Five years of experience in healthcare operations, preferably in clinic, urgent care, emergency department, or equivalent healthcare setting.
  • Experience with telehealth project or program development and initiation preferred.
  • Significant business and financial experience in a complex academic medical center preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated skills with presentations across stakeholder groups.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and develop and lead programs.

Nice-to-haves

  • Clinical experience preferred.
