About the position
The Inplant Ink Technician at Sun Chemical Corporation is responsible for providing basic color matching and small batch blending support at customer locations. This role involves producing and quality controlling inks to meet customer specifications, offering press-side technical support, and maintaining detailed production and quality control records. The position requires physical capability to handle materials and a strong interpersonal skill set for customer interaction.
Responsibilities
- Produce and quality control inks to ensure they meet or exceed customer specifications.
- Provide press-side technical support, mainly focusing on color toning.
- Maintain detailed production and quality control records.
- Identify rework opportunities based on batch ticket reviews.
- Maintain housekeeping and ensure safe operations.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1+ years of industry experience.
- Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as dispensing and color match software.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lb. buckets and move 500 lb. drums following standard procedures.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
