About the position
The Inplant Ink Technician II position at Sun Chemical Corporation involves providing intermediate level color matching, formulating, and small batch blending support on-site at customer locations. The role requires minimal supervision and focuses on producing and quality controlling inks to meet customer specifications, while also providing technical service and maintaining detailed production records.
Responsibilities
- Produce and quality control inks to ensure they meet or exceed customer specifications.
- Perform color matching and formulation.
- Maintain detailed production and QC records.
- Support customer's schedule through production coordination.
- Identify and execute rework opportunities based on batch ticket reviews.
- Provide strong press side technical service and troubleshoot problems.
- Maintain monthly and weekly reporting to CTS and Sales organization.
- Maintain housekeeping and safe operations.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and dispensing/color match software.
- Capable of lifting 50 lbs. throughout the day.
- 3+ years of industry experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills for customer-facing interactions.
