About the position
The Inplant Ink Technician III position at Sun Chemical Corporation involves providing intermediate level color matching, formulating, and small batch blending support on-site at customer locations. The role requires ensuring that inks meet or exceed customer specifications while maintaining quality control and production records. Responsibilities
- Produce and quality control inks to ensure they meet or exceed customer specifications.
- Perform color matching and formulation of inks.
- Maintain detailed production and quality control records.
- Support customer's schedule through production coordination.
- Identify and execute rework opportunities based on batch ticket reviews.
- Provide strong press side technical service and troubleshoot problems.
- Maintain monthly and weekly reporting to CTS and Sales organization.
- Ensure housekeeping and safe operations in the work environment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as dispensing and color match software.
- Capable of lifting 50 lbs. throughout the day.
- 5+ years of industry experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills for customer-facing interactions.
