About the position

The Inplant Ink Technician will work on-site at a customer location, acting as a liaison between INX International and the customer. This role is crucial for maintaining the on-site ink room, ensuring excellent customer relations, and providing technical support related to ink production and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Maintain INX's excellent relationship with the customer
• Review scheduling and coordinate jobs with the customer
• Be available for service call-ins as needed
• Perform technical service, color matching, ink production, and dispensing ink
• Evaluate production requirements based on customer schedule changes
• Control Work-off
• Manage inventory and conduct monthly consignment counts
• Perform job estimates
• Provide press-side technical support
• Complete monthly reports
• Perform Quality Control tests on incoming and site-manufactured batches
• Follow all safety requirements
• Ensure data entry accuracy
• Manufacture batches under 100 pounds

Requirements

• High School graduate or G.E.D. equivalent
• Ability to match colors effectively and pass a color vision test
• Excellent customer service skills
• Effective communication with peers and customers
• Strong written, reading comprehension, and math skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Suite programs and other computer skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently
• Good organization skills
• 2 to 5 years of work-related experience

• Spectrophotometer knowledge & experience
• Technically qualified to service Offset Sheetfed products
• Familiar with X-Rite IQC
• Flexible packaging knowledge
• Flexographic printing knowledge
• Solvent ink knowledge
• Previous lab, inplant, and warehouse experience
• SAP Knowledge
• Inplant pressroom experience
• College degree
