About the position

The Inplant Ink Technician will work directly at the customer's site, acting as a liaison between INX International and the customer. This role is crucial for maintaining the on-site ink room and ensuring excellent customer service while managing ink production and quality control processes.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining INX's excellent relationship with the customer
• Reviewing scheduling and coordinating jobs with the customer
• Being available for service call-ins as needed
• Performing technical service, color matching, ink production, and dispensing ink
• Evaluating production requirements based on customer schedule changes
• Controlling Work-off Inventory management and monthly consignment counts
• Performing job estimates
• Providing press-side technical support
• Completing monthly reports
• Performing Quality Control tests on incoming and site-manufactured batches
• Following all safety requirements
• Data entry accuracy
• Manufacturing batches under 100 pounds

Requirements

• High School graduate or G.E.D. equivalent
• Ability to match colors effectively and pass a color vision test
• Excellent customer service skills
• Effective communication with peers and customers
• Excellent written, reading comprehension, and math skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Suite programs and other computer skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently
• Good organization skills
• 2 to 5 years of work-related experience

• Spectrophotometer knowledge & experience
• Technically qualified to service Offset Sheetfed products
• Familiar with X-Rite IQC
• Flexible packaging knowledge
• Flexographic printing knowledge
• Solvent ink knowledge
• Previous lab, inplant, and warehouse experience
• SAP Knowledge
• Inplant pressroom experience
• College degree
