About the position

The Bilingual (Spanish) K-5 Specials Teacher at Stetson Elementary School is responsible for delivering high-quality education to elementary students in a bilingual setting. This role requires a valid Colorado teaching license and a commitment to fostering an inclusive and innovative learning environment. The teacher will engage with students in various subjects while promoting bilingual education and cultural awareness.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and effective instruction in a bilingual setting for K-5 students.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
  • Collaborate with other educators and staff to enhance the educational experience.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student performance and needs.

Requirements

  • BA/BS from an accredited college or university.
  • Valid Colorado teaching license endorsed in K-6 Elementary Education or another area with additional qualifications.
  • Passing score on the PRAXIS Exam #5001 or #5018, or CO PLACE - Elementary Education.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in bilingual education or teaching in a diverse classroom setting.
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technology integration.
