As an Inside Account Manager for Federal Sales at Connection, you will play a crucial role in supporting the IT needs of Federal Agencies and the US Military. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about technology and customer service, and who thrive in a dynamic sales environment. You will be responsible for managing a specified set of accounts within the Department of Defense (DOD) and civilian Federal agencies, where you will forge relationships and uncover opportunities to grow and maintain your book of business. Your day-to-day activities will include cold calling and prospecting customers, meeting or exceeding daily call and talk time targets, and presenting key selling points, features, and benefits of technology products and services while focusing on the customer's needs and expectations. In this role, you will provide superior customer service during the order fulfillment process, engage internal and external resources to develop IT solutions, and listen attentively to customers to address their needs and concerns. You will also be responsible for preparing quotes and RFPs, negotiating with customers, and overcoming objections to close sales. The Inside Account Manager will act as a support resource for day-to-day transactions, allowing the Account Manager the time and opportunity to expand their business. This position requires a proactive approach to follow up on open orders and customer service issues, ensuring resolution and customer satisfaction.
