About The Position
As an Inside Counter Sales/Back Up Warehouse associate at Airgas in Buda, TX, you will play a crucial role in selling industrial, medical, and specialty gases, as well as welding equipment, safety products, and tools to our customers. Your responsibilities will include responding to inquiries from walk-in customers and those who call in, ensuring that you provide excellent customer service and support. You will also be involved in warehousing duties, which encompass shipping and receiving tasks. This includes receiving, unpacking, examining, and documenting incoming shipments to maintain accurate inventory records. In addition to sales, you will solicit sales from both walk-in and telephone customers, ensuring that you accurately complete all required paperwork in a timely manner. This includes coding, costing, pricing, daily cash summaries, and bank deposits. You will enter sales data into the computer system and assist customers in identifying their product needs, helping them locate merchandise effectively. Restocking store merchandise and arranging stock on shelves or racks will also be part of your daily tasks, ensuring that the sales area is organized and well-maintained. To succeed in this role, you must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 60 pounds and handle more than 125 pounds with the aid of material handling equipment. A high school diploma or GED is required, along with at least two years of related product and/or sales experience. Proficiency in data entry and familiarity with SAP is preferred. Additionally, you will need to obtain a Forklift Operator's Certification and possess a valid Driver's License.
