About the position

The Inside Sales Representative at BasikWall Inc. is responsible for managing and overseeing product lines, processing customer orders, and providing exceptional customer service to wholesale clients. This role involves engaging with customers to understand their needs, providing product recommendations, and collaborating with the sales team to maximize sales margins. The position is integral to the company's growth in the door and window market, requiring strong sales and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and oversee product lines.
  • Receive incoming telephone calls and emails.
  • Process and maintain customer orders through QuickBooks or other programs.
  • Maximize margin on sales.
  • Provide price quotes and follow-up on quotes.
  • Deliver high levels of customer service by answering inquiries and solving challenges.
  • Engage with customers through various channels to understand their needs and provide appropriate product recommendations.
  • Maintain relationships with existing clients while actively seeking new business opportunities.
  • Utilize invoicing and quoting systems to process transactions efficiently and accurately.
  • Collaborate with outside sales representatives to ensure seamless communication and customer satisfaction.
  • Assist customers with inquiries regarding products, services, and promotions.
  • Provide support in the remodeling sector by offering expert advice on product selection and installation processes.
  • Maintain organized records of customer interactions and sales activities for future reference.
  • Apply retail math skills to analyze sales data and identify trends that can enhance sales strategies.
  • Use selling skills to convert sales inquiries to orders.
  • Regularly read trade publications and attend product knowledge seminars to stay current on industry trends.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of door and millwork product knowledge (preferred but not required).
  • Proven experience in sales or customer service roles is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Familiarity with quoting software (QuickBooks, Odoo), CRM (Clickup Odoo), and phone systems (Ring Central).
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse clientele.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel/Word/Outlook/PPT).
  • Ability to convert metric system to imperial system and calculate square footage.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of remodeling processes or products is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Proficiency in additional languages is an advantage for engaging with a broader customer base.
