About the position

Nutanix is seeking a high-energy, self-driven Inside Distribution Sales Manager (iDSM) to lead distribution managed partner growth, new partner onboarding, and enablement across North American distributors. This role will also serve as an operations lead within a top Nutanix distributor, ensuring best-in-class first-touch partner engagement for a seamless and scalable partner experience. Location is Buffalo, NY, or Washington DC and work is remote.

Responsibilities

  • Drive distribution managed partner growth, expanding new partner acquisition and engagement.
  • Lead first-touch partner engagement, ensuring a seamless onboarding experience.
  • Optimize distributor operations, streamlining processes to enhance partner success.
  • Develop and execute business plans with distributors, aligning on revenue and enablement goals.
  • Participate in QBRs and business reviews to drive mutual growth and accountability.
  • Enable partners through Nutanix programs, certifications, and go-to-market initiatives.
  • Leverage distributor-funded resources, including Technical Account Managers (TAMs), to maximize partner support.
  • Manage rebates, marketing funds, and distributor-led initiatives to drive ROI.
  • Collaborate with and augment business development resource consistency and strategy within distribution.
  • Collaborate with Nutanix partner and sales teams to develop and manage partner pipeline through distributors to meet quarterly and annual targets.
  • Identify and facilitate go-to-market improvements between Nutanix, distributor, and partner to maximize channel velocity.

Requirements

  • 4-6 years of experience in IT distribution sales, channel management, or partner enablement.
  • Proven track record of growing revenue through distribution-led models.
  • Experience in data center, hybrid multicloud, networking, or enterprise applications (a plus).
  • Strong communicator and presenter, comfortable engaging executives and partners.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools (Salesforce preferred) with a data-driven mindset.
  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with Ingram Micro, TD Synnex, Arrow, or Carahsoft.
