About the position

The Inside Operations Manager at Pursuit Collection is responsible for overseeing daily operations at Paddle Ridge and Front Desk services, ensuring exceptional hospitality experiences for guests. This role involves leading a team of hospitality professionals, optimizing workflows, enhancing guest satisfaction, managing operational budgets, and collaborating with various departments to support business goals. The position emphasizes safety, staff engagement, and effective communication with senior management.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of Paddle Ridge and Front Desk services.
  • Monitor and optimize workflows to improve efficiency.
  • Enhance guest satisfaction by implementing best practices in service delivery.
  • Assist in developing and managing operational budgets, tracking expenses, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Analyze operational metrics and prepare reports for senior management.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure cohesive operations and support business goals.
  • Manage tasks performed by department supervisors and direct reports.
  • Ensure Safety First as a top core value in all aspects of the operation.
  • Support department supervisors with planning and execution of staff engagement events.
  • Communicate regularly with the GRC GM to deliver consistent updates.
  • Collaborate with GM on annual business plans and budget including goal setting for each department.
  • Set schedules and expectations for the team and follow up on an ongoing basis.
  • Manage staff employment details in collaboration with People & Culture.
  • Ensure teams are provided the tools necessary to do their jobs well.
  • Plan, organize, and ensure successful implementation of training SOPs.
  • Meet and greet guests at the registration desk, sharing stories and resolving concerns.
  • Conduct ongoing staff housing inspections to ensure safety and cleanliness guidelines are followed.
  • Inspect all areas of the business to ensure a clean, organized, and welcoming environment.
  • Assist with other projects or special tasks as needed.
  • Conduct seasonal and annual performance evaluations for each supervisor or direct report.
  • Work with Operations and Reservations to ensure all teams are working together.
  • Develop SOP for all procedures and processes and train leadership staff to a high level of proficiency.

Requirements

  • 3+ years general hotel management, front desk management, housekeeping management or hospitality related experience.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with a focus on team building and customer service.
  • Computer skills necessary, including MS Office.
  • Current valid US Driver's License.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs and work in an office setting with background noise.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills, suggesting ideas and solutions.
  • Ability to handle unexpected situations flexibly.
