About the position

The District Sales Manager position at Energetic Lighting involves managing inside-territory sales for a fast-growing LED lighting manufacturer. The role focuses on developing sales within specified territories and vertical markets, requiring excellent communication and organizational skills to build relationships with customers, agents, and distributors. The position is based in Chino, California, and emphasizes a proactive approach to sales through multiple outbound calls and in-person meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Help develop and build sales within specified territories and vertical markets.
  • Manage product quotes and the timely dissemination of technical information.
  • Make multiple outbound sales calls daily, including 50+ phone sales calls per day.
  • Conduct some in-person sales calls.
  • Travel to meet with existing/prospective customers, agents, and distributors.
  • Help develop relationships with potential customers, agents, distributors, and contractors to build extensive sales networks.
  • Maintain the history of sales efforts in a CRM platform.
  • Engage in new business development.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in inside and outside sales preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and follow through with tasks.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of performing technical sales that involve long sales cycles.

Nice-to-haves

  • Lighting industry experience is a plus, but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with the HubSpot CRM platform is a plus.
  • Knowledge of the 'Manufacturer Representative' model is a plus, but not mandatory.
