Candidates are expected to live within a commutable distance from one of our offices in San Antonio, TX, Phoenix, AZ, Colorado Springs, CO, Chesapeake, VA or Tampa, FL. After training in-office, you'll have the opportunity to work in a hybrid model where you can work from home 2 days a week. This position is an hourly, non-exempt role with overtime and CAT pay opportunities. The ideal candidate will possess strong virtual estimating skills for low to moderate severity losses and/or reconcile estimates while working in a telephone concentrated environment without physical inspection of loss. As a Property Adjuster, you will work within defined guidelines and framework, investigating, evaluating, negotiating, and settling low to moderate complexity property insurance claims. You will confirm and analyze coverage, recognize liability exposure, and negotiate equitable settlements in compliance with all state regulatory requirements. Property Adjusters will recognize and empathize with members' life events, as appropriate. This role requires proactive management of assigned claims caseload, partnering with vendors and internal business partners to facilitate claims resolution, and conducting thorough investigations of claim damages. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate and thorough claim file documentation throughout the claims process, applying knowledge of estimating technology platforms and virtual inspection tools to prepare and manage property insurance claims estimates. Additionally, you will support workload surges and catastrophe (CAT) response operations as needed, including mandatory on-call dates and potential evening, weekend, and/or holiday work outside normal work hours. The role may involve CAT deployment travel with minimal notice during designated CATs, and you may be assigned various types of claims, including those of higher complexity, as needed.
