About the position

As an Account Manager at Connection, you are the foundation of our success, selling technology products and services to small to medium-sized businesses (50-2,000 employees). This role is pivotal in driving our sales efforts and ensuring customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and providing tailored solutions that meet their technology requirements. Your ability to listen, learn, and adapt will be crucial in fostering long-term partnerships and achieving sales targets. Successful Account Managers are consistent and persistent in their work. They are tenacious and strive to create positive outcomes with every conversation. You will be expected to engage in proactive outreach, making approximately 60 outbound calls daily, and dedicating around 2 hours and 15 minutes to talk time. Your goal will be to add 1-2 new buying accounts each month, aiming for a total of 12 to 24 buying accounts by the end of your first year. This position offers remote opportunities in the Eastern and Central Time Zones, allowing for flexibility in your work environment. Responsibilities

  • Sell technology products and services to small to medium-sized businesses.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients to understand their technology needs.
  • Engage in proactive outreach with approximately 60 outbound calls daily.
  • Dedicate around 2 hours and 15 minutes to talk time each day.
  • Add 1-2 new buying accounts monthly, aiming for 12 to 24 accounts by the end of the first year.
  • Focus 75% of your time on prospecting for new business opportunities.

Requirements

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with clients effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a remote environment.
  • Experience in sales or account management, preferably in the technology sector.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools to track progress and manage accounts.
