About the position

The Inside Sales Account Manager I (ISAM-1) at Red River is a pivotal role within an Account Team that is tasked with achieving high revenue and margin expectations. This position is designed for individuals who are eager to learn and grow within the IT industry. The ISAM-1 will coordinate with team members on various activities, focusing on developing business system proficiency and understanding the workflows necessary to advance opportunities through the sales cycle. As part of their training, ISAM-1s will be introduced to both internal and external resources, gaining insights into the specific market they support and the customers within that market. As the ISAM-1 progresses in their role, they may become a point of contact for customers on certain opportunities, depending on the discretion of the Team Lead. This role involves managing communication with customers and collaborating with various internal teams, including Pre-Sales Engineering, Support Services, Managed Services, Capture, Supply Chain, and Professional Services. The ISAM-1 will also be responsible for maintaining customer activity in the RADAR CRM application and will be expected to engage proactively in IT sales training forums to enhance their industry knowledge. The position requires a commitment to learning and developing advanced organizational skills, as well as the ability to work independently and make informed decisions without direct supervision. The ISAM-1 will be trained in all necessary Red River business applications, contract and compliance protocols, and sales procedures, including how to interpret RFQs and communicate effectively with the corresponding Account Team and internal resources. This role is essential for supporting a dedicated customer account list and ensuring that all customer interactions are handled professionally and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain customer activity in RADAR (CRM application)
  • Proactively engage in IT sales training forums and pursue internal and external opportunities for experience
  • Support a dedicated customer account list aligned with an Account Team
  • Receive training in all required Red River business applications
  • Learn and adhere to all Contract and Compliance protocols
  • Understand and apply Red River sales procedures and protocols
  • Communicate effectively with Red River resources such as Pre-Sales Engineering, Support Services, and Managed Services teams
  • Utilize customer, Partner, and OEM resources effectively
  • Demonstrate sufficient phone skills, including active listening and courteous communication
  • Exhibit strong writing skills for professional communication and email introductions
  • Present Red River's capabilities effectively via phone, email, or presentations
  • Work effectively with or without dedicated management supervision
  • Manage the quote process originating from customer RFQs as directed by Account Executive

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in the IT industry or comparable professional environment
  • Entry-level certifications in OEM training programs
  • Ability to manage the entire quote process with training
  • Ability to work independently and make informed decisions without direct supervision
  • Ability to interpret information from various sources for strategic decisions
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Commitment to developing advanced organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and maintain accuracy under a heavy workload
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well on a team
  • Commitment to ongoing learning
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and collaboration tools like Microsoft Teams
