About the position

The Inside Sales Account Manager at Domtar is responsible for managing an existing customer base, focusing on order management, pricing, credit, service issues, and quality. This role aims to generate revenue through effective processing of quotations and orders, while also influencing delivery requirements and optimizing equipment efficiencies and freight costs. The position emphasizes collaboration within a hybrid work environment, allowing for both in-person teamwork and remote work flexibility.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain existing customer account base including order management, pricing, credit, service issues, and quality.
  • Develop accounts by analyzing order history, product knowledge, service level agreements (SLA's), inventory, sales performance, and cost to serve.
  • Monitor competitive landscape including market trends, pricing, products, delivery schedules, and service platforms.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or a minimum of 3+ years of experience in an inside or outside sales environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Strong understanding of customer requirements and ability to leverage technology where appropriate.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working in a CRM such as Salesforce.
  • Sales experience.
  • Prior export experience.
  • Bilingual capabilities in English, French, and Spanish.
