About the position

The Inside Sales Representative position at McKesson is focused on driving sales of healthcare products within a specified territory. This role involves building and maintaining customer relationships, achieving sales targets, and prospecting for new business opportunities. Responsibilities

  • Achieve territory sales and gross profit plans.
  • Develop and increase sales revenue and GP$ to meet assigned targets; close sales and uncover new business opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, gaining new customers and retaining existing ones.
  • Conduct a minimum of 3+ hours of cold calls daily, performing customer sales presentations over the phone.
  • Develop account strategies, territory planning, and administrative follow-up to ensure high customer satisfaction.
  • Interface with the marketing team to create and implement specific programs and customized marketing materials for each account as needed.
  • Participate in and support company-wide marketing and sales initiatives by providing market trends, sales data, competitor analyses, and customer feedback to the market manager.
  • Achieve initiative targets and enhance selling skills through structured education and development initiatives.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in an Inside Sales setting with a focus on growing assigned territory.
  • 1+ years' experience prospecting to drive in new business.
  • 1+ years' experience cold calling.
  • 2+ years' experience managing and maintaining existing account activity.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation).
  • Proven ability to present ideas, influence decisions over the phone, and build strong relationships.

Nice-to-haves

  • Healthcare knowledge strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management systems (SFDC, Goldmine, ACT, etc.).
  • Demonstrated Microsoft Office proficiency with business applications - Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
  • Previous experience in healthcare industry, specifically in primary care, podiatry, orthopedic, or EMS.
