As an Account Manager at Sweegen, you will play a critical role in nurturing customer relationships, identifying sales opportunities, and closing deals. You will contribute to the company's growth by leveraging your expertise in ingredient solutions, particularly in dietary supplements, functional foods and beverages, and personal care. Your strategic thinking, excellent communication, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage existing contacts to identify, develop, and expand customer opportunities, aligning with company market positioning and product assortment.
  • Maintain accounts, understand customer needs, and provide direction to ensure aggressive account penetration, project pipeline development, and high-level customer service.
  • Develop and maintain effective sales forecasts and territory plans; visit clients, network within the industry, and participate in trade shows.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to resolve complaints, troubleshoot product supply-chain problems, and understand technical needs.
  • Maintain up-to-date awareness of industry trends, technical developments, and customer markets, particularly in nutrition, functional F&B, personal care, and pet nutrition categories.
  • Interpret market and consumer trends to effectively target customer markets and strategic accounts.
  • Provide detailed information on current and prospective customers, competitors, and market trends.
  • Work closely with a cross-functional team, including sales, marketing, regulatory, and technical support.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably selling specialty ingredients in the dietary supplement industry.
  • Strong business acumen, professional conduct, and sound judgment.
  • High level of organizational and planning skills.
  • Related experience in ingredient sales to food and beverage, personal care, and pet nutrition industries.
  • Quick learner, intellectually curious, problem solver.
  • Ability to work independently with strong relationship building, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment with low structure and a relatively flat organization.
  • Energy, creativity, with strong execution and follow-up skills.
  • Advanced use of Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with CRM systems.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages is a significant plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the Ingredient, or Food and Beverage Industry.
  • Proven experience as an Account Manager/Inside Sales Representative.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet sales targets.
