About the position

The Inside Sales Account Manager at Jet Parts Engineering (JPE) is a pivotal role within the Sales and Marketing department, primarily responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and fostering strong relationships with both existing and potential customers. This position serves as the primary point of contact for JPE's numerous Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) customers, playing a crucial role in supporting commercial airlines and JPE's largest clientele. The Inside Sales Account Manager will act as an internal advocate for the Regional Sales Managers, collaborating with various departments to ensure the highest level of service is provided to customers. In this role, the Inside Sales Account Manager will become well-acquainted with JPE's parts and distribution lines, utilizing the company's ERP system to respond to Requests for Quotes (RFQs) and accurately fulfill orders. The position requires evaluating customer quotes and orders for potential cross-selling opportunities, compiling sales opportunity analyses, and tracking identified sales opportunities within JPE's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. Additionally, the Inside Sales Account Manager will proactively approach customers with new product offerings, maintain strong relationships with current customers, and work to expand the customer base. Coordination across different departments is essential to provide the best service possible, and the role also includes supporting the outside sales force and performing other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service and build stronger relationships with existing customers.
  • Develop new customer relationships and support multiple JPE Regional Sales Managers.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for JPE's MRO customers.
  • Utilize JPE's ERP system to respond to RFQs and fulfill orders accurately.
  • Evaluate customer quotes/orders for cross-sell opportunities and follow up accordingly.
  • Compile sales opportunity analyses as required.
  • Track sales opportunities identified in JPE's CRM.
  • Research and identify new sales opportunities.
  • Proactively approach customers with new product offerings.
  • Maintain strong relationships with current customers and expand the customer base.
  • Coordinate efforts across different JPE departments to provide the highest level of service to customers.
  • Support the outside sales force and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in an aviation-related inside sales role.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly in MS Excel.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical reasoning skills.
  • Sales experience in a manufacturing/distribution environment, with a focus on cross-selling and price negotiation.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
