About the position
The Inside Sales/Application Engineer role at a growing chemical equipment company involves providing technical solutions for chemical process equipment. The position focuses on understanding process equipment applications, problem-solving, and solution sales to meet customer needs. The engineer will also be responsible for developing proposals and cost estimates, as well as managing order entry and reviewing technical documents.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical solutions to customers for chemical process equipment.
- Understand process equipment applications in design and operation.
- Develop proposals and cost estimates for customers.
- Manage order entry into an MRP system.
- Review P&ID's and GAD's.
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in inside sales/application engineering.
- Experience with batch process equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to develop cost estimates and proposals.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with MRP systems.
- Familiarity with trade shows and customer interactions.
