About the position

The Communications Inside Sales Associate at Dakota Supply Group is responsible for managing customer orders, providing technical support, and ensuring excellent customer service. This full-time position involves writing orders, preparing project bids, and assisting customers with product inquiries. The role emphasizes teamwork and growth within a supportive environment, with opportunities for hybrid or remote work for suitable candidates.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary facilitator for customer orders
• Assist customers in a professional manner with product inquiries
• Write and occasionally assist to fill orders accurately and in a timely manner
• Generate customer quotations and follow up on quotes requested
• Provide troubleshooting and technical support
• Work with other sales team members to resolve customer service issues in a timely manner
• Restock the counter area according to product brand and location
• Monitor product inventory and cull damaged product
• Maintain a clean and appealing counter display area
• Identify and encourage the sale of additional products as applicable
• Continue education on latest updates to products through manufacturer schools, trade shows, tech schools, vendor meetings, trainings, trade journals, etc.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 3-5 years field experience in the residential/commercial applications of telecommunications
• Excellent relationship building skills
• Outstanding interpersonal, customer service and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task
• Superior problem solving, project management, and analytical skills
• High proficiency with computers, experience in Eclipse or other ERP systems preferred
• Ability to plan, prioritize and organize work effectively
• Physical ability to frequently lift & load items weighing up to 60lbs

Nice-to-haves

• Product and technical knowledge normally acquired in two or more years of college or technical school
• Experience in customer service within the telecommunications industry
