About the position

The Inside Sales Associate II at ADI Global Distribution is responsible for increasing market share and building long-term customer partnerships by providing tailored solutions to customer needs. This role involves managing existing accounts, growing customer transactions, and promoting positive relationships within the organization to enhance customer service and sales performance.

Responsibilities

  • Grow customer accounts for profit by meeting performance targets and increasing revenue and margin of assigned accounts.
  • Increase customer base by adding new customers and converting purchases from competitors.
  • Manage existing accounts through steady communication using the Customer Database.
  • Make outbound calls to present leads and reach a minimum number of calls daily.
  • Promote positive relationships within the ADI organization to encourage team sales and exceptional customer service.
  • Educate customers about new products and product lines by staying updated on industry developments.
  • Maintain and update customer interactions in the tracking system.
  • Apply product knowledge to sell to customers and explain features in non-technical terms.
  • Stay informed on new offerings and technology trends through industry news and other sources.
  • Leverage ADI resources and programs to educate customers and provide an exceptional shopping experience.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year of sales experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer literacy skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Desire to be in a sales role and be accountable for sales revenue.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience in the retail, hospitality, or customer service industry with negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of Customer Relationship Management tools.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment by meeting and exceeding goals.
  • Prior distribution experience.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously.
